Description :	La colonne est en pierre calcaire, elle est ronde avec un chapiteau très simple. Le chapiteau est posé sur le sol. La colonne soutient un quadrilobe, de pierre différente, plus foncé.

Historique :	Cette croix est certainement une croix de tombe du 15e ou 16e siècle. Elle se trouvait dans la ferme de monsieur Couture Roger, devant une vieille maison d'habitation. C'est là qu'elle se trouvait quand M. Berton, instituteur à Rumout l'a signalée. La maison ayant été abattue pour faire place à un hangar agricole, la colonne a été démontée en 1970, et brisée sur une vingtaine de centimètres. La croix d'aujourd'hui est donc moins haute qu'autrefois. M. Couture, sur la demande de l'instituteur de Fromont, a donné la croix à la commune pour assurer sa protection. La colonne pourrait provenir d'un monument détruit ou d'une cave (cf. trois chapiteaux se trouvant au musée de Nemours et qui viendraient de Fromont, et croix identique scellée dans le mur d'une maison près de la gendarmerie de La Chapelle-la-Reine). La représentation de l'agneau pascal sur cette croix ressemble à celle de la croix de cimetière de Pomponne.
