Historique :	Cette gravure de N. Dorigny, artiste français, reprend la célèbre composition (fresque) de Daniele Da Volterra, conservée à l'église de la Trinité des Monts à Rome. Cette composition fut diffusée dès le 17e siècle par la gravure et un très beau dessin (musée de Hambourg). N. Dorigny habita Rome plus de vingt ans, ce qui lui donna la possibilité de connaître directement ce chef-d'oeuvre. L'oeuvre semble rattachée au personnage du duc d'Antin (Louis Antoine), fils de la marquise de Montespan, qui séjourna à Thomery.
