Historique :	Paola Pacht-Bassani évoque l'hypothèsue d'une commande directe à l'artiste pour ce lieu par les chartreux de Solers.Toutefois aucun document ne permet d ele confirmer. La toile est répertoriée dans l'église en 1905.
