Description :	Monumentalité et effet d'étirement de cette statue. En raison de manques, on ne connaît pas l'attribut porté par l'Enfant. Certains détails vestimentaires de la Vierge permettent de la rapprocher d'une Vierge conservée au musée de Cluny, datée vers 1330-1340 Toutefois l'aspect statique et peu déhanché de la Vierge des Ormes la situe plutôt vers la fin du 13e siècle ou le début du 14e siècle.
