Historique :	Enveloppe de reliques. Cachés à la Révolution, les reliquaires de Faremoutiers furent exhumés en 1803 et conservés depuis dans l'église paroissiale. Les étoffes anciennes furent déposées en 1986 au musée Bossuet de Meaux. Tissu comparable à celui de l'église Saint-Leu à Paris, conservé au musée des arts décoratifs qui fut exposé au Grand Palais en 1980à l'exposition La Vie mystérieure des chefs-d'oeuvre.

Précision_sur la representation :	Ocelles ronés d'un simurgh, animal fantastique d'origine iranienne, qui tient du paon et du dragon. Il aurait une valeur de porte-bonheur, et connu un grand succès même après la disparition de l'Empire zoroastrien. On trouve encore des traces de ce motif dans le répertoire ornemental du Moyen Age.
