Historique :	Ce retable ainsi que la toile qui l'orne, fut commandité par Mme de Veelu, châtelaine locale (décédée en 1628), d'ailleurs représentée seule en donatrice au pied de la croix. Cette personne, originaire de l'Aisne, fit également transformer le vocable de l'église de Passy pour l'attribuer à saint Quentin, saint très populaire dans sa contrée d'origine (et que l'on trouve peu en Seine-et-Marne). Mme de Veelu (née de Roussy), étant veuve en 1614, on peut dater l'ensemble toile et retable entre 1614 et 1628.
