Historique :	Tableau de l'école française. Choisy était un prieuré seigneurie dont le prieur était ordinairement un fils de noble famille. Au 17e siècle, ce siège fut occupé par trois princes de la maison de Courtenay, issus de sang royal. Le premier fut René de Courtenay qui arriva en 1613 puis Robert de Courtenay vint en 1644 et enfin Roger en 1690. Est-ce lui ou un de ses prédecesseurs qui fit don de cette toile à l'autel de la Vierge ? Ou cette toile provient-elle de l'ancien couvent des Dominicains de Rozoy-en-Brie ?
